The jobs that are currently in demand in Australia Canberra Matrix in the ACT are included on the ACT Critical Skills List. If you want to submit an application for ACT nomination for either a:

• Skilled Work Regional Visa (subclass 491)
• Skilled Nominated Visa (subclass 190)

If your chosen profession is listed on the Critical Skills List or you are currently employed in a profession that is, you can also claim points in the Canberra Matrix.

You can express your interest in applying for ACT nomination by completing a score-based ‘Canberra Matrix,’ which allows you to claim points for specific criteria such as skilled employment, English proficiency, formal qualifications, length of ACT residence / study, investment activity, and close family ties, among others. The Canberra Matrix is weighted to make sure that candidates who have shown a sincere commitment to the ACT or who will have a positive economic contribution to the Territory are more likely to be invited to apply for ACT nomination. Carefully, read the requirements for ACT nomination. You can submit the Canberra Matrix once you’re sure you meet all the requirements. We will rank your matrix based on the points you have claimed. Those who score well enough will be invited to submit an ACT nomination application.
