RCIP Eligibility Requirements (2026)
To qualify under the Rural & Community Immigration Pilot, applicants must meet the following criteria:
🔹 Job Offer Requirement
- A full-time, permanent job offer
- From a designated employer
- Located in a participating RCIP community
🔹 Work Experience
- Minimum 1 year of paid work experience within the last 3 years
- Experience must match the job offer
- Can be gained inside or outside Canada
- Must be legal and paid (full-time or equivalent part-time)
🔹 Eligible TEER Categories
RCIP accepts work experience under TEER 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4, depending on the job.

- Completed a full-time program
- Graduated within the last 18 months
- Lived in the community for the majority of study period

- Program was mostly language training
- More than 50% was distance learning
- Scholarship required return to home country
